The end of 2008...

Today is 31st December 2008. The last day of the year 2008. Phew...what a year it has been. Having a great family and friends has made 2008 an enjoyable and awesome year for me. Looking back at the days in 2008 remains me of how my life has changed a bit here and there, gone through a wonderful and great journey.


For today’s quiet time with God the scripture that I was meditating on was 2 Tim 4:7 “I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith.” Indeed the race in the year 2008 has been a good one. The ups and downs have open up my eyes to look at things in a different way. Interacting with people shows me that I have plenty of things to learn to make me achive my dreams in life.


My walk with God has been quite a great one. I cannot deny that I do face some problems in doing my quiet time with God most of the time. Well, you know...want to sleep more...hahaha...But indeed I have seen God’s blessing and assurance in the 2008. I have seen how He blessed my family financial. The hope that He puts into my heart made me eager to live life each day to the full. The joy that fills my heart puts a smile on my face as I wake up each morning and goes through hard times in life. I’m also happy to see that God has in some small ways used me to bless the people around me. It always feels great to be use by God, to be His clay and to allow Him to shape your life according to His plan.

Studies? Hmmm... Since the new semester starts at the end of the year...well...what can I say... so far...My result not bad...I think...will try to better this semester...

What else...family...yap... there are still those once in a while screaming at each other... that shows that we are still communicating... still care for each other...still love... and are still in each other’s live....

Friends? Awesome... getting to know more people each year. Close friends hard to find...but I’m happy to say I found mine...hehehe....

Love life? ...dun know...will see what 2009 has install....hahaha....

I’m happy with 2008. I spend it doing the things I wanted to do. I learn new things. See new stuff. Eat new food. Went to new places. The happy, sad, hard, easy, fun time has really created wonderful memories that I would always cherished. In just a few more hours....I will have to say... bye bye...to 2008 and welcome 2009.

First class...

I went to my first class for this semester today at 9.30am. Everything went well. Meet my friends... catch up with things going on with them. The class went well...till the lecture started to give comments about our last semester result...haiz...yup did demotivated me a little...not sure it some of the comments were about me....

Yesterday....I wanna say a big thank you to Alan and Weiliem for forcing me to go out with them. I ended up having a great time with them. Too...bad I didn't managed to buy the things I need... Hmmm.... maybe friday will go Midvalley....will see how...

Wondering.....

I have been reading a few posts on blogspot about coming back to KL to study. It seems to me that every post seem to be sad. All posts express about missing their family.. even my own post about returning back to KL talks about me missing my friends back at Labuan.

Must people always think about the things they cannot get or things they will not be able to enjoy? Would not it be nice if all the posts talk about how they can't wait for the new semester to open because there are just so much things that can just happen. It will be fun to explore new places, things and ideas. Doing things one never dream of doing, eating food that you have never tasted, archiving dreams that you think will never happen. Meeting wonderful people in your life..that maybe the best thing that has ever happen...

Maybe people are just afraid of things that they are not sure of. Afraid that things that will take place in the future will be bad. or maybe they are just too comfortable with their present life, so they dun want to change anything..hoping that life will continue as it has always been.

Yesterday, pastor shared about how water crystal change according to their surrounding. Beautiful water crystals were form when the water are place in a happy situation where positive words and thoughts occur. While ugly crystals were form when the water are place in places where negative words and events happen like sadness, anger, hate...etc...

Well, if you have ever learn science, I'm sure sure that you have learn the 78% of our body is made up of water. So I would encourage everyone to think and dwell on how good your life would be in the future. Think about great things that can happen in your life. I know...the feeling of leaving home... but why not we just think that by leaving home to study, we will be able to change the living condition of our family when we grad later.... so lets have a positive attitude towards the new semester.

Let us fill our body and mind with beautiful and pretty crystals!

I'm back

After spending a night at LCCT. I took the 6am bus from LCCT to KL Sentral. So I just wanna say:

"I'm back at KL!" "Yay!"

New semester...

Tonight at 8.50pm I will be leaving to KL. I'm quite excited to meet my friends...as there has been a few activities that I have plan to do before and during new year.

Then again, I also feel a bit down because I need to leave my family and Labuan. Labuan is such a quite and peaceful island compare to KL that is always busy and noisy. Friends..at Labuan...some of them are just coming back for their holidays...haiz.... may be I will be able to meet them during chinese new year....

Hmmm...what do you think the new semester has install for me... I bet that it will be another great, fun, memorable, adventures semester. Well, how well my semester turn out to be it all depands on me to make it happen...

So...to all my friends at KL...meet you all...let me see...Ya...at church tomorrow.

I woke up at 7.30am. Christmas! Yay!...Then I remember..Oopss..need to rush and get ready... I'm playing piano at church today....So I had my shower..... After finished dressing up... I look at the clock..Hmmm..it is only 8am...arrr...it is still early....

So what did I do...? Yay! Wake everyone up... Switch on Christmas songs at the max...wake everyone up...wake the whole neighbourhood up with Christmas Songs...ahhahaha...... Then I jumped on my sisters' bed...and shaked them till they wake up...hahaha....so hyper.....

Soon my mum was looking at me with her..."you better behave yourself Anna" face...hahah..dun care...gave her a kiss and I started to pass everyone the presents that I brought for them.....

By the time the whole family was ready to go for breakfast...I realised it was the time I need to be at church...haiz...missed Christmas breakfast with my family....church starts at 10am...musicians need to be there at 9am...

The sermon was great....Rev. Calvin shared about the reason Jesus was born into this world. After service...hahaha...the youths and me gather and took pictures and more pictures. Btw, Congrats to Reuben and Alvin for being Baptise...welcome to God's family....

We then went to pizza hut for lunch. Rev Calvin treated us. Thanks Rev.

After lunch, we went to sea sport for a walk. Well, Rev will be leaving Labuan soon. Being transfer to serve in other parts of Malaysia. Min Chun and Ming Han too...moving to KL..haiz... so this might be their last time to take a walk around Labuan...to enjoy the sea view and our company....

After spending 2 hours there...we went to Susan's house...buat apa...makan lah...apa lagi...hehehe....

Then we went home. After taking my shower... I fall asleep... when I woke up it was 7pm. At 7.30pm aunty Stella called me..." Anna! Where are you...come to church bring your mummy and your brothers" " Come...we counted your shared when we prepare the food" " Ar? Oh..ok aunty...let me get ready and fetch my mum first.."

I was still so full...the pizza and soto is still swimming in my tummy....haiz....When I arrived at church, everyone were sharing about how Rev. Calvin has been a blessing to the church (Oh ya! It was Rev. Calvin farewell party).

After everyone went back...we young people....ah yo...macam biasa stay back loh...played mafia...till 11pm... then the younger youths..(Ya! 16 years old and below hahah) asked Rev. for permission to sleep over at church. They ask us, the older youths( 17 years old and above) wanna join or not... I look at Loong Ai, she looked at me...I looked at Alex, he looked at me... " Nah! We had our shared of sleeping over at church when we were your age...enjoy!"

After a few more rounds of mafia... Alex sent me back home.... Hmm...so here I am blogging on how my Christmas 2008 has been.... Cheers!

Christmas eve 24.12.08

Christmas eve started like everyday. I woke up. Did the house work, then watched movies then chat online, facebooking..blah..blah..

My Christmas activities really started at 6.30pm. My dad and I went to Gregory house's for dinner. There I meet up with some of my friends. After having dinner, the bunch of us went to church for Christmas eve celebration. This was how the church decoration was like this year.

The celebration was not bad this year. Although I did hope that they would spend a longer time in praise and worship. After service, like every year we would continue to take SS pictures.

The hair band,hmmm...I didn't know from where my bro culik it from...but pakai ambil gambar jeh. The third hand belongs to Alex...That guy..has been very naughty this year......

Min Chun. He looks cute in this hair band. Hahhaha...jatuh saham..tapi tak apa dah berpunyai....

After finish taking pictures at our seats. We continue taking pictures at the church Christmas Tree. The letter "S" looks so big on me...makes me fat...haiz...

After arranging my transportation with my parents. I hang out more. By the time we were tired of taking pictures it was only 10.00pm! We found a place to sit. Then me, Loong Ai, Loong Ernn and Susan started chatting, and laughing. Soon our topics were about Alex... well like always...we were bullying him...hahahha....he sat there answering us back....and we tease him more...hahahah....

Soon we got bored.....what to do...? Well, we head back to Gregory's house again...second round (muka tembok)...ahhaha....Alex drove us there. We spent our time there (eating, taking more pictures...drinking(a bit nia)...) from 10.30pm till 12.00am.....basically we welcomed Christmas at Greg's house......You should look at Susan's face....her eye bags were popping out....hahaha.....
Too...bad the pictures are still with Greg...no time to get from him.....

We ate a final piece of cake...which was made by Greg's sister. The cake was tiramisu...it was nice...you know what... I think...Fillipinos are very good at baking and making cakes...I have tasted a few cakes made by them and..it is always nice....

After eating, Alex (which has been my driver for Christmas this year) sent me back home. Then I kiss my mum and family and wished them Merry Christmas.

Today after I finish doing all the house work. I sat down and watched a movie call Love Actually. Nice movie but...haiz... I realized at the end I didn't managed to download the whole movie. So I don't know the end of the story. Looks like I need to download again. Hopefully I have enough time to download it...looking at the waiting list on my downloader I have tons of movies waiting to be download...Anyway, anyone has the full movie...please send a copy to me....thanks...

I didn't sleep at all last night.... I dun know what happen...ya..ya... maybe I know... The thing was turning around my mind....I was just thinking maybe if my reaction was different maybe the result will be different. Newton law for every action there is an equal reaction. Maybe...dun know....

I spend the whole night...thinking, uploading pictures, facebooking, listening to music, playing vampire war.

At 7am my family woke up...I saw my mum and I told her...wake me up at 9am...then I fell asleep on the sofa....but my two sister...was noisy like always...so my sleep was disturb....

Since I'm awake I took my bath, breakfast and get ready to go to the salon to get my hair trim. (Yup, decided already...I'm going to keep my hair long...so only going to trim a bit...). I follow my mum around town before we stop by the salon.

I was unfocus the whole day, sleepy and tired.... that's why..... should just fall asleep....when I'm suppose to...haiz..."Anna Anna...you do stupid things sometimes.....isk isk isk....."

But of all the unmotivated day today something good at least happen...hahah...I lose some weight... happy....hahahha...

Children Church Party

So this is the day, the children church party. I fell asleep at last at 3am in the morning. Got up at 8am. Chat with Li Chin then had my bath and chat more with Li Chin and then off I go to church.

The children church hall was decorated with beautiful balloons and chirstmas pictures.

The party started off with some games

The children playing bed pulling games. They have to pull their friends across the hall while their friend sit on the bed....

After that was my small sketch...so I did it blah..blah..blah...everything went well.....

This was the gift warp and unwarping comeptition.

After that teacher Linda told the christmas story to the children. Then the children collected their christmas presents and shristmas goodie bag. Like always since the day I was in children church...the goodie bags where fills with chocolates...lots of chocolate....

Lucky kids. Nevemind I will get my christmas goodie bag on 24th Dec...hahah..there even more chocolates...hahahhah.....

After that, the children took their tapau and had their lunch outside.

Let me introduce you to one of my youth.

This is Susan Paul. Well, she is opening one of the kicap bottle that she found in the church kitchen. Dun know whose wan... dun care..me and her too hungry cause didn't eat breakfast. So we hamtam buka kicap to mix with the tapau food from the children church.

Thats all.....

After service, I meet up with the other youths.... Yay! going to Gregory's house on the 24th afternoon...yippy can chill with church gang at last. Susan, Ming Chun, Ming Han, Loong Errn, Loong Ai, Jason, Justin, Roland, Reuben, Adam, Alvin, Gregory and Alex....miss you all... but...haiz....apalah the Alex...I going back already only he came back...anyway..I had a short chat with him... so nice he will be doing his practical at Labuan next sem.....

My 100th post....

I slept at 10pm and woke up at 12.30am. Then I could not sleep again. I toss around my bed for 1 hour before making up my mind to do something more productive. So I lay in bed I think more about my sketch prsentation tomorrow at the children church party. Change a bit of the plot...think of the words to use...decide what expression I should use and a few more method to allow the children to interact more.....That is a good thing about working alone..you can change the storyline any time..wkkkakakkak...

Then at 2am I took out the prop that I have made and look at it trying to make it look nicer and this is the end product. Simple and simple janji the children know that it is a present.

The objective of my sketch is to make the children understand that God sent us his beloved son because He loves us. The story is very simple...it is about a girl ("Anna" as you can see the name on the present). That receive a present on christmas day. The weird thing about the card she received is that it only had the word John 3:16 beside her name. Opening her present, she discover a bible and turn to passage. The story stops there... Then moi will use three balloon to explain God's love and how it will never stops growing and how to share God's love with your friends. Then end.

Arts...miss you...

The above drawing, is a drawing of the Penang Bridge.I drew this picture when I was between 13 to 16(forgotten when but those were the years that I study arts). I glue that piece of drawing on my cupboard. It caught my attention when I by pass it last 3 weeks ago. When I just came back.

Drawing was one of my fav subject when I was in lower secondary. No pressure, relax, draw according to the theme and everyone understands what you draw. You score an A.

I miss drawing. I wanted to upload a few more of the drawings but I couldn't find it. Then I remember. I threw it all away liao(already)...aww.. to make room from my form 4 and 5 books when I went up to higher secondary. Too bad...

The Penang bridge is one of my fav sceneries that I like to draw. My fav scenery that I like to draw is the view of sunset by the sea. Hahhah...I remember during form 3 one of the exam question was to draw sunset. I was lazy to draw details.... I just paint the whole piece of drawing block into the colour of sunset..a little yellow, red and orange.. When it dry.. I just draw a girl and a boy playing together at the bottom of the drawing block using black paint....hahah...I was thinking 'sure fail wan" mana tau score A.

The true is, I'm not good at drawing...really....but I'm good at copying...when the teacher ask me to draw a view of the deep sea.... I look for pictures of fishes and copy it onto the drawing block (copy not like putting the picture on the back and trace, look and try to draw the same pattern)hahhaha...

haiz...I really miss drawing....miss..mixing the colours..ahhaah...I remember form 2...ahhah...during arts exam(arts exam is the best because we are allow to talk and move around,I always ended up drawing not only for myself but also drawing for my classmates....) a few of us finish our pictures....we got so bored because it was a 2 hours exam and that was the last paper of the day...you know what the boys did...hahaha...they painted each other hair....hahhah.....wakkakaka....miss my classmates.....

Shocker....

My dad caught a grasshopper while he was doing his gardening. He kept the grasshopper in a bottle, then he put the bottle on the floor. Then my sis picked it up without knowing there is a grasshopper in side..what a shock she got when the grasshopper tried to jump out of the bottle...she scream loud...hehheh...wakakak....My mum was the next victim...hehheh....

Swimming

At last, I managed to go for a swim...

We went to mummy school at 8.30pm...Labuan International School. The only school in Labuan that has a swimming pool and offers swimming lesson.

Had fun swimming with my sister. My sister Rachel taught me how to swim..now I know how to swim free style liao...

I played with my sister Abigail..the whole school was filled with our laughter....we laugh for nearly 15 minutes non - stop.

Then we leave at 9.30pm

Small celebration...

Went to Mc Donald today to celebrate Tijah's Birthday. Only me and Susi celebrated her birthday with her.. we spend 2 1/2 hours there...chat about funny stuff...hahah..that's all then I drove them back home...then went to shop to help mum and yes..took more ss pics..hehehe...

Friday

6.00am - Woke up, packed my bag.
7.30am - Bought bus and ferry tickets.
7.45am - Board ferry.
8.00am - Ferry Jalan!




9.30am - Arrive at Menumbok.
9.45am - Board Bus.



12.30pm - Arrive at KK.
1.00pm - Check into Beach Lodge.




1.30pm - Kai kai at Asia City.
3.30pm - Back to room.
3.45pm - Kai kai at KK Plaza.
7.30pm - Have dinner.
8.00pm - Back to room.
8.15pm - Kai kai at Milimewah.
9.00pm - Back to room: Chit - chat with my bro and sis..make noise...have fun..



12.00am - Lights out..ZzzzZzzz

Saturday

8.00am - Wake up..Make more noisy with my bro and sis...
8.30am - Breakfast.
9.00am - Kai kai at Gaya Street (too bad no flea market)
9.15am - Kai kai at wet market.
